Your Teams' Mission:

At Verity, hardware test engineers play a vital role in ensuring the highest levels of safety, performance, and reliability of our autonomous drones through a blend of rigorous automated and manual testing and validation processes. With cutting-edge sensing technologies at the core of our system, this role requires deep knowledge of both system-wide and component-level functionality, enabling team members to develop advanced tools within the broader quality assurance framework.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing comprehensive test strategies and creating testing stations for drones and sub-modules. Your work will support both product development and hardware quality assurance in manufacturing, with a special focus on integrating the camera systems into our platform.

Your Role:

  • Develop test and validation systems for components and modules, with a strong focus on software development in C/C++ and Python.
  • Develop camera and sensor calibration algorithms and stations
  • Interact with suppliers to co-specify and implement component validation systems.
  • Co-responsible for improving and maintaining existing production test stations.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with all engineering disciplines, NPI, and manufacturing.

Your Experience:

  • Degree (FH, BSc, MSc) in engineering, computer science, mechatronics or electrical engineering with a strong software engineering focus and 3+ years of professional experience.
  • Experience with development of software (C/C++ and Python) and hardware for testing and validation systems.
  • Experience with design validation or characterization of image sensors and a basic understand of imaging optics.
  • Familiarity with electrical and mechanical design.
  • Familiarity with optical and electrical characterization tools.
  • Fluency in English.
